Confirmation

Confirmation / Reception into the Episcopal Church

One of the diocese’s bishops generally visits St. Luke’s Church one Sunday per year, and people are presented for confirmation, as we celebrate the Holy Spirit’s guidance in their lives. Confirmation candidates include baptized adults who are new to the Christian faith, adults who have come to our church from other denominations, and young people who are growing in spiritual maturity.

This is also a time for those who wish to be received into the Episcopal Church and those who wish to reaffirm their confirmation to be presented to the visiting bishop. Any one of our clergy can discuss these steps with you.

Youth who are in 8th grade and above are eligible for confirmation. There is a series of classes leading up to confirmation, and details are publicized well in advance of the bishop’s visit.
